I found 602abcwater helpful and easy to work with. Saved me lots of $'s!!! Install took approximately 1/2 day including a trip to Home Depot for Potassium Chloride. If you are an intermediate to advanced DIYer, you'll have no problem!!! Videos are easy to follow and phone tech support is responsive!!!
Quick shipping on the softener, filter, and brine tank. Only took a few business days from order to doorstep arrival.
Very pleased with the product and, since we are in Phoenix, AZ, I was able to pick it up and met with the very helpful staff. The only fly in the ointment was the lack of precise instructions for the programming of the Fleck 5600 SXT head. However there was plenty of info available on the web and, to be fair, I was asked if I needed any assistance and I did not respond at that time. I installed the unit in our 5th wheel and integrated it with the water and drain system of the RV. The water softeness has really made a difference in all things the are best known for and my only regret is to not have bought this unit before. Love the fact that the regeneration process is fully automated.
Excellent so far except rinsing the carbon tank out before install. Would be nice to have a hose bib adapter to fit hose sung into it so water can be forcefully rinsed through it. You can expect some carbon to get into your pipes if not.
Awesome feeling to complete install and enjoy filtered soft water at a fraction of the cost of "other" dealers. Thank You.
After reading numerous reviews, watching installation videos and talking to a few local water specialists, I decided to tackle the 5600SXT with carbon upflow on my own. I called with numerous questions about the system and right away I could tell that they actually care about providing great customer service. With all my questions answered; I placed my order, had the system within 5 days and then installed in 2 hours with the help of their handy videos. I wish I would have done this years ago. Well done 602ABCWATER!!
If I were more satisfied, I would be two people, seriously! From my first call to make the order, through installation and tech support, 602abcwater and my water softener have left me completely impressed. The system does exactly what it's advertised to do. My tap water tested 21 gpg before installation and less than 1 ppg after. Its only been a few weeks and my wife and daughter are talking about their skin and hair, I love it! The R.O. is awesome too. You cant taste a difference between bottled water (which I wont be buying any longer) and the R.O. water.
The "How To" videos on their website were very informative and helpful, it only took us a couple hours to have it completed.
In conclusion I'll say this. The water companies in my city charge up to $6,000 for whole house systems. I know because I worked for one but I'm just glad I did my research and found this company. It was actually nice to do business with them!
Quality product (so far so good)
Easy assembly with helpful instructions/videos online
Respond to calls/questions within a day
I placed my order on Xmas but did not receive until about 3 weeks later. Order seemed to be lost until I inquired.
Parts were missing (be sure to check your delivery before you get a plumber to your house. Lesson learned the hard way). BUT I was able to get a hold of them the same day and they overnighted the missing parts. Unfortunately, one of the parts was wrong, but they overnighted the correct one the next day.
Manual sent with my unit was for a different model. They are very very similar, so it wasn't a big deal.
They seem to have thought of just about everything in the kit, but for some reason left out a $1 hose clamp - the one thing I had to go to hardware store to get.
Good product, good price. Would purchase again. In spite of mistakes, service was overall good, i.e. they were apologetic and tried to fix the problems right away.
My order was received complete, in good condition and everything was as expected. Installation of the water softener went smoothly. Notes for improvement: The 3/4” stainless flex lines should be shipped straight (no reason for bending them). The lower hole in the Space Saver brine tank for the black overflow fitting was slightly undersized and required reaming (no big deal but may be inconvenient for some). Instructions for the proper use of the sanitizing packet should be included. While a video for programming the Fleck 5600 is available on YouTube, a printed copy of the programming sequence would be very helpful and should be included.
The 602ABCWater representative was knowledgeable, professional and she was very helpful. Much appreciated!
While currently only in service for one week, everything appears to be functioning as expected.
Very good customer service. Water softener was up and running within a couple of hours and it is performing as required.
The water softener works perfectly on very hard water (20 grains per gallon). Except for the drain line, everything is included that you need to do the installation yourself. The instructions are excellent.
I just finished installing the system, in a few weeks I will let you know how it works
Replaced an old softener with this new unit and also added the upflow carbon tank. Big difference in the quality of the water and installation was fine for a do it yourselfer.
This was a replacement for a old unit. The new one was easy to install and works like a charm.
I purchased 64k water softner fleck 5600 sxt
The customer service was outstanding!!!
Shipping was fast.
The equipment is top notch. I had it hooked up and running within 2 hours.
This setup is amazingly effective. We had been dealing with horrible well water since we bought our home a couple years ago. All of our white fixtures would turn a nasty orange color, and our older faucets were scaled up and rusted. Our clothes would get stained and we had to buy bottled water for drinking. I did a ton of research and settled on this product. I had a test done and our iron content is at 3.0 PPM. This unit filters out up to 6.0 PPM so it was a great fit.
I did the install myself into a fairly tight crawl space and I'll admit that it was a little harder than I thought it would be. I had to dig a trench into the sand to get the softener, brine tank and carbon filter to fit. I'm by no means an expert plumber but I know how to sweat copper plumbing. I was able to connect the system to my main line without much trouble. The videos are easy to follow and the push connector flex lines help save you a few steps.
My system doesn't definitely looks like DIY job, but it doesn't leek, it's in the crawl space so we don't have to see it and most importantly we saved thousands on the install. The difference it has made so far has been nothing short of shocking. We could tell a huge difference within the first 12 hours. Our hair and skin feel softer after showering and I don't dread having to scrub out rust stains from our showers and toilets anymore. We couldn't be happier with this and look forward to having it for years to come!
The RO system is also a great buy, it all fit under our sink with plenty of storage left. It took me about an hour to install, but it's super easy with the push fittings and PEX lines provided. Now we have easy access to purified drinking water any time we want. Our coffee taste better and we find ourselves drinking more water than ever. You will be glad you spent the money on this. I had a quote from a local water softener dealer for a similar setup and this system was over $5K cheaper!
Nice product. I like that the hose fittings are brass and it has a metal carrying handle.
The only issue was that their online ordering system took my billing address and applied it to the shipping address automatically and wouldn't let me change it. I'm traveling in a motorhome. So this was problematic and took the better part of a day to fix as they were very slow in returning my call.
Once that was fixed everything went smooth.
So nice to have soft water in our coach
